IVF Success Rates

Per the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, a comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches and entrance criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic.

Your physician will individualize the predicted chance for you based on your individual situation. At Stanford, we specialize in a condition known as primary ovarian insufficiency (premature depletion of eggs) which is known to significantly reduce the chance of conception with fertility treatment. On the other hand, we also see patients with high egg supply who have high chances of conception with in vitro fertilization. The success rates reported per age group are an average calculated for couples who have widely varying chances of success.
